The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1
In the twilight years of Abram’s life, God gives Abram a blessing and a mission: “Go…”
I know - “Go” sometimes doesn’t feel like a blessing. Every “Go” requires change, saying good-bye, and even some tears. “Go” will require familiarity with the unknown, as we leave everything that was comfortable, familiar, safe.
Yet, on the other side of “Go” is a holy space where God meets us, uses us, grows us...and blesses us!
Today, God is calling us to boldly “Go.”
Jesus People everywhere are standing in opportunities to press into the holy space of the unknown. What we have grown comfortable and familiar with is changing - and this will be for the good.
Discovery has specifically prayed to be a church that multiplies leaders, groups, and campuses. It seems one good outcome from this challenging season is God moving us to now multiply!
It’s in these next few weeks that we will take intentional steps into these prayers. We will multiply into three campuses:
- A Digital Campus -- our Livestream weekend experience
- A Tacoma Pop-Up -- Bethlehem Lutheran Church
- A Puyallup Pop-Up -- The Fruitland Grange
While it will be exciting, it will also be different. Mistakes will happen, and at times it will feel awkward. But God is there already, inviting us into the adventure with Him.
So let's Go!
Let's go together!
Let's go with joy, hope, and faith. And mostly, Let's go and never, ever quit!
