The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1

In the twilight years of Abram’s life, God gives Abram a blessing and a mission: “Go…”

I know - “Go” sometimes doesn’t feel like a blessing. Every “Go” requires change, saying good-bye, and even some tears. “Go” will require familiarity with the unknown, as we leave everything that was comfortable, familiar, safe.

Yet, on the other side of “Go” is a holy space where God meets us, uses us, grows us...and blesses us!

Today, God is calling us to boldly “Go.”

Jesus People everywhere are standing in opportunities to press into the holy space of the unknown. What we have grown comfortable and familiar with is changing - and this will be for the good.

Discovery has specifically prayed to be a church that multiplies leaders, groups, and campuses, and in the middle of this challenging season, God is opening the doors! Welcome to Discovery - in 4 different campuses!

A Pop-Up service is a smaller worship gathering hosted at multiple locations through our city enabling Discovery to continue to build community, experience fellowship, and reach out to our neighbors while safely limiting the number of people with whom we are physically interacting.

While it will be exciting, it will also be different. Mistakes will happen, and at times it will feel awkward. But God is there already, inviting us into the adventure with Him.

So let's Go!

Let's go together!

Let's go with joy, hope, and faith. And mostly, Let's go and never, ever quit!

Pastor Jon

Will you join us in prayer, Discovery? As we continue to gather in-person at our various locations across Pierce County and online, we ask you pray with us for the following.

Online: Please pray that people will continue to join us online for the Sunday livestream service if they are unable to gather in person at this time. Please pray they feel connected and seen, even through virtual platforms.

Puyallup: Please pray that we find a long term site for our campus. Pray for us to find the best way to reach and minister to families. Please pray that God will lead us as we seek gospel conversations.

Tacoma: Please pray for the community around our campus as we head into a difficult season of the holidays and the election through COVID. Specifically, please pray for those far from Jesus to find our Pop-Up and to get connected!

Lakewood: Please pray for our campus as we continue to minister to our community through this difficult time.

When we are generous with our resources, we become active participants in leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Whether it’s in Pierce County or around the world -- your gifts make it possible for more people to hear about Jesus! Will you prayerfully consider giving financially to God's multiplying, mosaic movement today?

We are inviting everyone to be a part of this mission. Together, we can reach this goal.
