Unskilled women and children become vulnerable to trafficking and other exploitations. The Women's Empowerment Program partners with local Ugandan churches to set up micro-enterprise training and development centers as an outreach to their communities, equipping these women to be self-supporting.

Training programs are available in tailoring, hairdressing, yogurt making, and baking. Discovery helped launch three training facilities for churches seeking to implement this outreach, enabling program expansion.

Discovery also provided 10 new sewing machines for the tailoring program.
