Highlighted updates and changes to the bylaws.

Article I - Name and Principle

Updated location of principle office.

Article II - Purpose

Updated the distinctives (purposes) of our church by removing CARES acronym and replacing with the Four “E’s” Embrace, Equip. Elevate, and Engage.

Article III - Members

Simplified Membership status and terminology, replacing “Active Member” with “Member.” This change continues throughout the document.

Removed additional qualification when transferring from another church.

Article IV - Meetings of Members

Updated Notice Requirements for Business Meetings to include electronic communication.

Article V - Church Council

Updated Church Council Term of service to reflect a four-year term with the possibility of rejoining the council after a one-year break from serving on the church council.

Revised number of council members needed to remove a member of the Church Council at a regular or special meeting. Moved from two thirds of Council Members present to requiring that two thirds of the voting members must be present.

Updated Church Council Vacancies to be filled as they arrive and will be ratified at the next Annual Business Meeting.

Article VI – Meetings of the Church Council

Updated the place of meeting to include digital platforms.

Article VII - Officers

Change made to allow Senior Pastor and church officers to be removed at the Annual Meeting or a special meeting.

Article VIII - Pastoral Staff

Changed the annual review of the Senior Paster to be performed by the Church Council, was previously handled by the Spiritual Leadership team (no longer exists).

Article IX - Spiritual Leadership Team

Removed from the bylaws.

Article X - Small Groups

Renamed Article IX

Updated the Small Groups Leadership Team to be a group of volunteers that are picked by the Small Groups Director.

Updated requirements for a small group leader to have completed All In or will complete within six months.
