Baptism Celebration

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Baptism - Sandra and Rich

Sunday, May 3, is your next opportunity for baptism!

Please join us during the worship service to celebrate baptism with our church family.

What is baptism?

Baptism is a symbolic, outward expression of an inward commitment to follow Jesus.

Immersion in water signifies that you have died to your old life before Jesus. When you are raised up out of the water, your baptism declares to the world that you have a beautiful new life in Jesus...something only possible because He, too, laid down His own life before rising up in resurrection from the dead.

Symbolically and every other way, baptism services are one of the most beautiful things we get to experience as a body of believers. We get to celebrate an act of God that transforms a person from death to life, from darkness to light.

Is baptism something for kids?

Yes! Children who fully understand what it means to follow Jesus, and have made that commitment, are probably ready for baptism, too.

If you believe your child is ready to be baptized, reach out to our Disco Kids director, Kirstin Stave. She'd love to walk with you and your child through this faith step.

Sign up to be baptized today!

If you are interested in being baptized, please let us know by emailing [email protected] or sending a message to Pastor Jon Fredricks.

If you're not quite ready, but still interested...

Join us on May 3 after the worship service for Pizza with the Pastor, where you can bring all your questions about baptism to Pastor Jon.

You can also send us a Connection Card (or fill one out on Sunday morning) and let us know you're interested. We'll get in touch about future baptism opportunities.
