Q: What is DiscoFest 25?
A: We're celebrating 25 years of serving Tacoma in Jesus' name! We started as a humble church plant with no expectations, just a willingness to go, serve and love where God wanted us to. He deserves our thanks and praise. We're excited to come together to give Him just that.
Q: What does the DiscoFest celebration look like?
A: We're taking the festivities and spreading them across one day, in two parts. Part 1 is a celebration worship service with special features, at our normal service time (10 AM at Lincoln High). Part 2 is an afternoon outdoor BBQ picnic (4-7 PM at Fort Steilacoom Park). Both parts will take place on Sunday, July 26.
Q: Are only people who've been at Discovery for 25 years invited?
A: Absolutely not! If you're reading this, you're part of Discovery's story and you're welcome to join us. In fact, we would LOVE for you to be there celebrating with us.
Q: How can I prepare for the day?
A: The short answer is RSVP and invite! That's the best place to start. For the morning worship service, you don't need to do anything but show up. For the afternoon picnic, bring camp chairs or a blanket for seating, a side dish and/or dessert to share, and whatever else you want with you for a sunny summer evening.
