$12 dollar personalized holiday doormat?

Last week I received an online coupon for a holiday doormat. I laughed at the title. A holiday doormat? Man, I certainly can feel like that sometimes. Everybody seems to have high expectations this time of year. Sadly those expectations come at somebody’s expense – MINE! It’s exhausting. Nobody knows what I do for them. Resentment for “getting walked all over” creeps in. How would Jesus want me to respond? This came to mind:

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
